The Goddess Maha Prathiyangara Devi Temple is situated in South India, Tamil Nadu, Tanjore District. The Goddess is fully described in the Holy Adharvana vedha, as the supreme goddess in the universe. The rituals (poojas) are performed by the Rishimunis of Prithangiras and Angiras and hence the name "Prathiyangara". This is the only temple described in the Vedhas and the Agamas.
